Uhuru Movement sponsors a free, co-ed, championship-winning youth basketball team.

The volunteer fundraising and outreach work of Uhuru Foods directly supports the Uhuru Movement programs, led by the African working class.

These programs address economic development and social justice for the African community in the U.S.and worldwide. In addition, our farmer's market booths and holiday pie campaigns raise funds for the programs of the African People's Education and Defense Fund.

Successful after school tutoring programs make reading, writing and math relevant to the lives of African children.
